As a lifestyle expert, I’d share it this way: For over nine years now, I, Shahid Kapoor, have been blessed with a fulfilling marriage to the wonderful Mira Rajput. Together, we are proud guardians to our beautiful children, Misha and Zain. Lately, I’ve shared insights into my parenting approach and admitted that I hope to steer my kids away from the glamour of showbiz. Instead, I yearn for them to find joy in a more straightforward path, avoiding the complexities that come with a career in the spotlight.

During a recent conversation with Raj Shamani, I found myself fielding a question about who between my spouse, Mira Rajput, and I leans towards stricter parenting. With a hearty chuckle, I admitted that it’s actually me who tends to be the lenient one, while she takes on the role of the disciplinarian – a character trait that seems to fit her perfectly.

In simpler terms, he clarified that he possesses a dominant character and believes his kids might struggle under such strong parenting. On the flip side, the actor mentioned that his spouse has a more gentle demeanor, suggesting her strength wouldn’t be as overpowering as his. He acknowledged that becoming stronger could make him seem intimidating for the children to interact with.

Beyond what I’ve shared, I also confessed that there are certain traits I don’t wish my children to inherit from me. Specifically, I desire them to possess an innate confidence, a quality I believe they already embody more than I do.

It’s best if others don’t take over my job, friend. Find another path instead; it’s full of highs and lows, quite challenging, honestly. It’s not an easy ride.”

“If they insist on doing so, it’s up to them, but I’d suggest they opt for something less complex. This is too intricate,” he advised.

Additionally, he expressed a desire to instill in his children the habit of choosing what’s right, regardless of whether it pleases him or not, or if it appears challenging or potentially harmful to himself.

Shahid is getting ready for the debut of Deva alongside Pooja Hegde. This action-packed film, highly anticipated by fans, is being directed by Rosshan Andrrews. It’s a production of Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, set to hit theaters later this week on January 31, 2025.
