After hearing about NCIS‘s production halt due to the devastating LA wildfires, I, too, was deeply affected when my former co-star Eric Christian Olsen revealed that he had lost his home to these fires. Currently, I’m staying with family as I cope with this unfortunate situation. Since sharing this heartbreaking news, Eric has received an overwhelming amount of support from friends and colleagues in Hollywood, including Wilmer Valderrama and Mandy Moore.
As TopMob continues to monitor how the 2025 TV schedule may be impacted by the California wildfires, Olsen’s wife and actress, Sarah Wright Olsen, shared the news about their home on Instagram. See her words below, as well as photos of the aftermath following the fire raging through their home:

Similar to the homes belonging to Denise Crosby and Mandy Moore’s family, the Olsens’ house was destroyed by fires. Just as they did, numerous residents around Los Angeles are left with no alternative but to seek temporary solutions while working on their next moves and beginning the recovery process from losing places that held significant meaning for them. My sympathy goes out to the children of the Olsens, who made their first steps in that house.
As a movie enthusiast, I found Sarah Wright Olsen’s comments quite the star-studded affair! Moore and numerous other celebrities, some connected to NCIS and others from various projects, bestowed their love and support upon them. Among these well-wishers was Wilmer Valderrama, who has a unique understanding of life-altering tragedies, having gone through such an experience after a plane accident.
- Love you guys. I’m sorry doesn’t do justice for the grief and pain of a magnitude of this kind of loss… but I’m sorry. Thinking of you and your family. – Mandy Moore
- I’m so sorry 💔 – Ashley Tisdale
- the family who literally housed me…u all are the epitome of love. ❤️ – Caleb Castille
- Oh babe I’m so sorry. I love you so much – Rumer Willis
- ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ – Rose McIver
- Sending you so much love sister – Wilmer Valderrama
Eric Christian Olsen did not share his own post about the tragedy.
Since wrapping up NCIS: Los Angeles, the actor has taken on a new role as an executive producer for the latest CBS success story, Matlock. With this change, both he and his family are seeking a fresh start, as they search for a new home while attempting to recover from the losses they sustained in the fires. For now, they’re fortunate to be staying with “Uncle Dave” and “Aunt Dani,” who have graciously offered their support during this challenging time.
Continuous heartbreaking tales emerge from the California wildfires, such as actress Jennifer Garner sharing that she lost a friend to them. Authorities tirelessly work day and night to control the fires, and certain communities have been given permission to go back home after being evacuated. Long-term recovery initiatives for disaster-stricken areas are in progress to assist affected families, but there’s still much effort required.
TopMob extends its sympathies to those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, wishing for a swift return to some semblance of normality. May the upcoming week witness significant strides in fighting and controlling these destructive blazes.
