As a seasoned collector of both Alpha Industries and WIND AND SEA apparel, I must say that this collaboration has been long overdue! The MA-1 Jacket is a classic piece in my wardrobe, so seeing it reimagined through WIND AND SEA’s design lens has me absolutely thrilled.
This year has been filled with collaborations for both WIND AND SEA and Alpha Industries. WIND AND SEA made significant joint releases with the NBA, DENHAM, Champion, and others, while Alpha Industries partnered with JiyongKim, Lee, and COMME des GARÇONS. Now, these two brands are coming together for a unique collaboration. They will showcase some of Alpha Industries’ classic designs, but reinterpreted using WIND AND SEA’s creative perspective.
The iconic, often reinvented MA-1 Jacket by Alpha Industries takes center stage in this collaborative collection.
As a fan, I’m thrilled to share that the WIND AND SEA reinterpretation of their iconic jacket is touching down in two fresh colorways – a camouflage design and an all-black version. Each one showcases co-branded embroidered patches across its robust structure. The Alpha Industries insignia graces the chest, accompanied by reversed WIND AND SEA lettering beneath. The backside flaunts an oversized Alpha Industries x WIND AND SEA logo. These jackets retain the classic tactical pocketing throughout the body and sleeves and are completed with Alpha Industries and WIND AND SEA tagging as a final touch.
