Independent watch brand Studio Underd0g has teamed up with Wristcheck to introduce a limited-edition series of watches called “The Uneggspected Series.” This collection features an exclusive set of three Generation 3 01SERIES chronographs, each boasting a fun and fitting concept that aligns with its humorous motif.
Boiled Egg showcases a slightly yellow, textured dial with subtly darkened borders, while the outer chapter ring is crisp and white. On the other hand, Fried Egg highlights a light yellow fumé dial encircled by a light yellow chapter ring. The R0tten Egg model showcases a lime-green color scheme, with the dial’s outer edge featuring a pale off-yellow tone accented with brownish hues. Additionally, the hour markers are shaped like egg motifs, enhancing the pieces’ humorous designs.
Wearing a sleek 12.9mm thin stainless steel case (diameter: 38.5mm), this latest model showcases a significantly slimmer design compared to its previous version. The traditional screw-down caseback has been swapped out for sapphire crystal, providing an unhindered peek at the intricate mechanisms within the watch.
The Baked Egg and Fried Egg timepieces are part of a production run of 200 pieces each, whereas the Decayed Egg has even fewer copies in circulation, with just 90 created. All models retail at $800 USD and can now be pre-ordered via Wristcheck.
