In simple terms, when WWE 2K25 is released on March 14th, you won’t find Penta El Zero M as part of the game’s initial roster. On February 17th, it was announced that Penta, a popular Mexican luchador, was not included in the base roster for the upcoming WWE 2K wrestling game.
According to IGN First, it’s been disclosed that the complete roster encompasses a vast number of wrestlers spanning across WWE’s primary divisions: Smackdown, Raw, and NXT. Notably, this roster also includes legendary figures from past years, with various versions to acknowledge their extensive careers.
In essence, it’s no surprise to see the customary faces gracing the roster once again. The lineup is reminiscent of a typical foundation squad: John Cena, Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, and Charlotte Flair. If they’re in the main event, you’ll find them in WWE 2K25.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to accept that Penta isn’t here anymore, especially since he joined only this January. Given his recent entry, it’s not surprising that he’s garnered such popularity so swiftly, as he’s already won over many fans.
Since his WWE debut, Penta has remained undefeated and showcased exceptional wrestling skills against opponents like Ludwig Kaiser and Chad Gable. Furthermore, the WWE granted him a remarkable opportunity at this year’s Royal Rumble, pitting him against Rey Mysterio as the men’s battle royale opened. Despite being eliminated by Finn Balor after more than 40 minutes of intense competition, he was known as this year’s Iron Man.
Notable gaps in the roster also occur within the NXT brand. Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia won’t be part of the starting lineup, but there’s a possibility that they, along with Penta, might be included as downloadable content later on by 2K Games.

Giulia and Vaquer are both titleholders in the NXT women’s division. On January 7, Giulia clinched the NXT Women’s Championship, whereas Vaquer secured the NXT North American Women’s Championship on February 15.
Or, more casually:
Giulia and Vaquer are the ladies’ champs in NXT. Giulia won the Women’s title back in January, while Vaquer grabbed the North America Women’s belt last month (February 15).
While some may view 2K Games’ choice to exclude recently signed wrestlers as being overly picky, this perspective is less likely when considering the innovative new features of 2K25 such as intergender wrestling, a semi-open world mode called The Island, and the option to play MyGM online.
On March 14, WWE 2K25 will hit the shelves for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. If you can’t wait to get your hands on it, pre-order the Deadman or Bloodline editions now, and you’ll be able to start playing from March 7!
