Yasiin Bey, also known as Mos Def, and The Alchemist will stream live on Bandcamp as they perform their new collaborative album, titled “FORENSICS.
On February 7th at 9 p.m., Central European Time, the livestream event will occur, serving as the initial public unveiling of the albums following their debut concert at Le Trianon during Paris Fashion Week. This collaboration between the two artists started in Los Angeles in 2023, facilitated by their mutual friend Chace Infinite. The album, titled FORENSICS, features artwork entitled The Weight of an Ant, created by bey’s friend and previous collaborator Anuar Khalifi.
FORENSICS transcends just being an album title; it embodies a novel method for presenting art, blending music, fashion, visual arts, technology, and community. This innovative approach fosters a deep connection with the artists’ primary fanbase, offering an experience that strikes a chord across various dimensions.
The livestream is scheduled on February 7th, and it’s hosted through Bandcamp with a price tag of $9.99 USD. For 48 hours following the event, viewers can rewatch the stream. FORENSICS, in its entirety, is slated for release at the end of Q1 2025.
