Years After The Oppenheimer Cast Formed The ‘Oppenhomies’ Group Chat, Jack Quaid Dropped A Sweet Take On Being Part Of The Squad

Approximately two years have passed since Christopher Nolan’s film, “Oppenheimer,” made a splash at the box office and garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious Best Picture award at the Oscars. In Tinseltown, and even though the movie’s success has faded and the cast of “Oppenheimer” have moved on to various projects, it seems they still keep in touch, as their “Oppenhomies” chat group remains quite lively.

During the making of the movie, it emerged that some of the Oppenheimer cast had taken to calling themselves ‘Oppenhomies’. It was found that there was a group chat among many, though not all, of the film’s cast members. Jack Quaid, who portrayed physicist Richard Feynman, recently disclosed to Men’s Health that this group is still in existence. The members of the group continue to support one another whenever possible, as per Quaid’s statement…

The group chat among the Oppenhomies is still buzzing! It’s amazing how long it has managed to stay active. I recall during the L.A. wildfires, everyone was keeping tabs on those residing in L.A. Whenever any of us experience something exciting or noteworthy, there’s usually someone chiming in with a shoutout for David Krumholtz. It’s truly remarkable!

It’s delightful to learn that not only do the “Oppenhomies” continue their conversations, but they also stand by each other in times of need. It’s great that they are there for one another, offering assistance when required and acknowledging achievements when deserved. Few people have friends like this, let alone ones who are prominent figures in the movie industry as well.

Beyond mere on-set camaraderie, Jack Quaid shares that co-star Olli Haaskivi has blossomed into a close friend post-film production. The two regularly spend time together off-screen as well, according to Quaid’s statements.

I wasn’t anticipating its longevity given our large number, but perhaps that’s what makes it endure. There’s an actor named Olli Haaskivi in that film who I spend a lot of time with. He resides in New York and has become one of my closest friends. The success story of the Oppenhomies is astounding, and it brings me great joy.

It’s no surprise that Jack Quaid, who’s currently captivating audiences in the wildly entertaining film “Novocaine,” enjoys being part of the Oppenhomies given how deeply they appear to care for one another. Perhaps these bonds become stronger during filmmaking, or perhaps the movie’s success is due to the strong connections the actors formed with each other. In any case, it seems evident that “Oppenheimer” will continue to hold significance, resonating not only with viewers but also with those involved in its creation.
