As a long-time Yellowstone enthusiast and someone who has weathered the storm of last year’s premature ending cliffhanger, I can confidently say that the upcoming Season 5 episodes are not just a breath of fresh air, but a lifeline for die-hard fans like myself. The tantalizing teaser footage released by Kelly Reilly has only intensified our anticipation for Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler’s continued saga, and I genuinely hope the higher-ups at Paramount Network are taking note of the fervor among the audience.
In contrast to the 2023 TV schedule, the 2024 lineup will not conclude without the highly anticipated Season 5 episodes of “Yellowstone” finally airing, approximately a year and half later than their initial debut date. To validate that fresh episodes have indeed been produced, Paramount Network has recently revealed long-awaited footage, leaving many eager to catch a glimpse. Following Kelly Reilly’s sharing of the teaser clip, numerous fans responded with excitement, hoping the decision-makers are closely monitoring the buzz.
The new clips don’t offer a whole lot of details about what’s to come ahead of the November premiere — it hasn’t stopped us from cooking up our own theory — but it’s certainly enough to reinvigorate the desire to see Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler continuing their small-screen love saga, as seen in the comments on the actress’ Instagram post, which featured the following understatement of a caption:
Thank you for your patience…
In simpler terms, some comments like “Long live Jamie!” and “We’ll surely miss John” can be found among the replies, but given whose post it is, it’s not surprising that most of the feedback is incredibly supportive of Beth and Rip. What might surprise some, though, is the number of commenters who seem unaware of the latest news about Yellowstone, which hints at a possible Season 6, with Reilly and Hauser in negotiations to reprise their roles.
Check out the following sample of requests noted on Kelly Reilly’s footage post.
- Can’t wait!! I wish this series would still continue, even if it’s without Kevin Costner! There are still so many great actors on the show!!! – @sadie_and_sophies_mom

- Going to miss The Best female character there’s been on tv. – @graham1a
This collection doesn’t include every comment expressing the desire for Rip and Beth to carry on somehow in the future. Although television networks shouldn’t make critical decisions based solely on social media trends, it’s worthwhile for them to listen to opinions like these since they reflect what viewers might prefer.
Why Paramount Network Should Hear Out Yellowstone Fans‘ Hopes
At present, the news regarding the reversal of Yellowstone’s cancellation and the development of Season 6 remains largely unverified by the network. However, they have made an announcement about another upcoming Yellowstone series featuring Michelle Pfeiffer, titled The Madison. Since this news isn’t definitive yet, it’s understandable that some fans might not be aware of these reports. But the fact that so many are still expressing their desire for a Beth/Rip spinoff is clear evidence that a sixth season should definitely be produced.
While it’s important to acknowledge that many elements, not just Instagram reactions, influence a studio like Paramount in deciding whether to renew a highly-rated TV series for another season, my intention isn’t to suggest that viewer comments should serve as the sole motivation for giving fans more Dutton family storylines.
Instead, it seems to me that if someone responsible ever experiences a moment of hesitation, they should quickly revisit some comments to remind themselves that no obstacle should prevent the continued success of Yellowstone on television, even if some key actors are temporarily absent.
Do Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser seem to be asking for too much money as part of their contract negotiations? Read the comments. Would Reilly’s new show create a possibly pricy scheduling conflict? Read the comments, and carve some time out later. Would literal mountains need to be moved? Read the comments and grab a shovel or two. Whatever it takes, just make it happen, people!
Starting this coming Sunday, November 10th, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, the second part of “Yellowstone” Season 5 will air on Paramount Network for viewers to enjoy. If you’re interested in exploring the series’ prequels, they can be streamed by subscribing to Paramount+.
