In the director’s chair for this film is Rain Li, a native of both Beijing and New York, with casting currently being sorted out. Veteran producers Victor Hadida (Resident Evil, Silent Hill, The Crow) and Molly Hassel (The Return to Silent Hill, Terminal, The Crow) are taking charge of the production.
The story, titled House of Night, revolves around the character Zoey. Her life undergoes a dramatic shift when she is genetically marked as a fledgling vampire, compelling her to depart from her old life and attend a boarding school where those “marked” learn to cope with their transformation. Throughout her journey, Zoey experiences the joys and challenges of teenage romance, evolving friendships, and newfound freedom. As she uncovers her unique abilities that make her exceptional among vampires, Zoey becomes both admired and intimidating in a world already brimming with magic, further enhancing the intrigue surrounding her.
Arianne Fraser, CEO of Highland Film Group, expressed her excitement saying that with the global popularity and readership of these books, and the relatable themes of personal growth and overcoming obstacles in a complex world, this is an ideal time for this movie to release. She’s ecstatic about sharing it with audiences worldwide.
PC Cast expressed: “I’ve collaborated closely with Molly and Rain to make this film a reality, and I couldn’t be prouder of the way they’ve stayed true to our universe. Our fans have been eagerly anticipating seeing their favorite characters and stories unfold on screen for years, and we are thrilled about what they will witness.
As a passionate gamer, I’ve always been captivated by the distinctive world crafted by P.C. and Kristin in their cherished novels. I can hardly contain my excitement to bring this vision to life on the big screen, not just for new viewers but also for the countless enthusiasts of these books.
