As a devoted follower of the dynamic world of Indian cinema, I must say that the upcoming film Yudhra, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan, has certainly piqued my interest. The anecdotes shared by these talented actors about their on-set experiences only add to the intrigue surrounding this action-packed drama.
The action movie titled “Yudhra,” starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Malavika Mohanan, and Raghav Juyal, is set to premiere in cinemas on September 20, 2024. Prior to its release, Chaturvedi and Mohanan shared an anecdote from the filming process where Mohanan struck Chaturvedi, causing him to require ice due to a jaw injury.
During a recent conversation with ETimes, I reminisced about a memorable moment from our film’s first shoot schedule. My co-star, Siddhant, received quite a forceful slap in one scene, which was a bit unexpected given we were still developing our on-screen chemistry at the time. In this particular scene, my character was frustrated with Yudhra’s character, and it was our director, Ravi (Udyawar), who became so engrossed that he exclaimed, “Alright, you hit him!” The very instant he spoke, Siddhant found himself with an ice pack on his face.
In simpler terms, Malavika pointed out that the scene wouldn’t have seemed authentic unless she genuinely slapped Siddhant. Moreover, she discussed the high-energy action scenes she executed alongside actor Chiyaan Vikram in their recent movie, Thangalaan.
During this time, the trailer and tunes of Yudhra have sparked quite a stir on social media platforms. The fiery connection portrayed by Malavika and Siddhant in the song Saathiya has definitely caught people’s eyes. In a recent chat, Malavika opened up about her on-set experience filming intimate scenes with Siddhant.
Malavika pointed out that it’s tough to strike a balance between comfort and authenticity when filming intimate scenes. She highlighted the advantage of having intimacy coordinators on set because they ensure clear boundaries are set and make the process smoother. Despite the significance of intimacy, she emphasized that during the song shoot, their main focus was staying warm due to the cold conditions.
In an interview with News18, Malavika discussed her challenging filming experiences where she captured multiple intimate scenes, such as kisses, amidst wet and frigid conditions.
In the movie Yudhra, Siddhant’s intense character, struggling with anger management, will be shown delivering powerful blows as he pursues a mission to take down a drug lord portrayed by Raghav Juyal. The film features an impressive ensemble cast including Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun, and Shilpa Shukla. Yudhra embodies the essence of Bollywood with its action-packed scenes, dramatic elements, and romantic undertones.
