Zahan Kapoor Can’t Get Over Moment After Amul Shoutout for Netflix Show

As a dedicated follower, I’m thrilled to share that the series led by Zahan Kapoor, Black Warrant, has garnered substantial recognition since its debut. This gripping seven-episode Netflix production vividly portrays the grim reality of Delhi’s infamous Tihar Prison. The visionary behind this masterpiece is Vikramaditya Motwane. Approaching a month after the show’s premiere, it has caught Amul India’s attention, and Zahan Kapoor’s response to this praise is truly captivating.

On February 9th, Zahan Kapoor posted on his Instagram stories a photo of a large billboard outside a building. The billboard displayed the new ad campaign from Amul India, which showcased support for Netflix’s recent series release, Black Warrant. The ad featured animated versions of the main characters in the series, portrayed by Zahan Kapoor, Rahul Bhat, Anurag Singh, and Paramvir Singh Cheema.

Every police officer sporting their uniform was spotted carrying loaves of bread. The slogan on the ad flashed, “Butter Loves Bread,” accompanied by the dairy company’s logo and the phrase “Tastefully Arresting.” In response, Zahaan commented, “Gotta step away for a minute,” and included a dancing GIF as well.

Zahaan Kapoor’s reaction to the campaign

On Saturday, a well-known diary brand posted about the Black Warrant series in their latest update, titled, “Amul Topical: The web series delving into Tihar prison’s inner workings stirs interest among viewers!

In response to the shout-out, Anurag Singh (also known as Vipin Dahiya) enthusiastically replied, “I’m drinking Amul milk, thanks so much!” Meanwhile, Paramvir Singh Cheema (or Shivraj Singh Mangat) humorously commented, “Ha ha ha, I loved it!”.

During a Zoom interview, Zahan shared an anecdote about almost declining an opportunity. He recalled receiving a call from Mukesh Chhabara’s office, where he was contacted by an assistant. This individual informed him that the project was based on the book “Black Warrant,” which had been penned by former jailer Sunil Gupta and writer Sunetra Choudhury.

Despite being in the throes of launching my play, Siachen, just three days prior to its opening night, I found myself yearning to participate in the auditions. However, with so much on my mind, I honestly didn’t feel ready. Luckily, they granted me a week or two extension. During this time, I immersed myself in the script, reading it diligently on my Kindle before making my debut.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Black Warrant is now streaming on Netflix.
