Without a doubt, the iconic actress Zeenat Aman is undeniably the epitome of coolness among yesteryear stars in the industry. Always ahead of her time, she’s been killing it on Instagram and spreading her captivating allure. Most recently, this charismatic actress hosted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit. During this interactive event, she shared some fascinating insights with her fans.
On Thursday, March 6th, while fielding various queries, one of the users posed a question to Zeenat Aman: If there was any role from recent years that she believes she could have excelled in during her prime. In response, the esteemed actress selected Priyanka Chopra’s character from Bajirao Mastani, a film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
She shared that she wouldn’t be sure if she could have done it justice, but she would have been thrilled for the opportunity to portray Priyanka Chopra’s character in Bajirao Mastani. The intricate role attracted her curiosity.
In an exciting turn of events, I’ve had the privilege of stepping into the shoes of Kashibai, the first wife of the revered Peshwa Bajirao, in a timeless period drama.
Apart from the current situation, it’s worth noting that Aman also expresses remorse for missing an opportunity to be part of the iconic film “Amar Akbar Anthony,” starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, and Vinod Khanna.
She expressed her disappointment in having to turn down the role offered for Amar Akbar Anthony. Her talks with the director or producer, following the success of her recent hit, didn’t work out as planned. She doesn’t regret standing firm on her ground, but she does regret not being a part of that exciting project.
Additionally, another admirer confessed to mixing her up with iconic actress Parveen Babi. When questioned about instances where fans may have mistaken her identity in public, the actress acknowledged that such confusion is a “frequent occurrence.
Parveen was captivating, making it easy for me not to notice anything else! There was an awkward encounter in Dubai where a woman became overly enthusiastic, assuming I was Parveen, but this happened after her death. It was an uncomfortable situation, and I was the one who had to inform that disappointed fan that her beloved actress had passed away,” she explained.
In her professional life, Aman is set to appear alongside Ishaan Khatter, Bhumi Pednekar, and others in Netflix’s upcoming show “The Royals.” A sneak peek of this series was already released earlier this year. Additionally, she will also be seen in the film “Bun Tikki,” featuring Shabana Azmi and Abhay Deol.
