You Won’t Believe What Institutional Investors Are Doing with Crypto! đ¤Ż
Oh, great. Just what I always wanted to hear. 71% of institutional investors are like, “No thanks, we’re good.” (sigh) I mean, what’s the point of even having a survey, right? It’s not like we didn’t already know this. (rolls eyes)
Apparently, it’s not just me who’s losing interest in crypto. A recent J.P. Morgan survey reveals that 71% of institutional investors have no plans to trade crypto in 2025. Wow, what a shock. (not)
But wait, it gets better. The same survey shows that 51% of institutional traders identified inflation and tariffs as the biggest market concerns this year. You know what’s not a concern? Crypto. That’s right, folks. It’s like the ultimate get-rich-quick scheme. (chuckles)
Now, you’d think that with the SEC approving Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs, institutions would be like, “Hey, this crypto thing is legit!” But nope. They’re just not that into it. I mean, what’s the hurry? The SEC is scaling back its crypto enforcement unit, so it’s like, “Hey, we’re not going to bother you with all these regulations.” (smirks)
But hey, it’s not all bad. BlackRock, Fidelity, and other major asset management firms are still expanding their Bitcoin and Ethereum holdings. They’re like, “Hey, we may not be into crypto, but we’re still going to make some money off of it.” (shrugs)
And let’s not forget, just a couple of days ago, BlackRock acquired approximately $276.16 million worth of Ethereum. That’s like, a whole lot of money. I mean, I could buy a lot of avocado toast with that kind of cash. (laughs)
Even more notably, on Dec. 12, BlackRock and Fidelity made a massive $500 million Ethereum purchase through Coinbase Prime in just 48 hours. That’s like, a whole day of trading. (smirks)
