Steven Nerayoff, who serves as an advisor to Ethereum, has initiated a legal action against the American government for allegedly making false claims and maltreatment by federal agents between 2019 and 2023.
A lawsuit, brought under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) and filed for alleged intentional misconduct, requests $9.6 billion in damages due to a criminal case initiated against the defendant in 2019. This legal battle, which lasted around four years, concluded in May 2023 with the dismissal of the lawsuit by the U.S. government.

A recently submitted SEC-95 document unveils that Eleanor Terrett of FOX Business reportedly shared information from Nerayoff stating that federal agents were aware the accusations against him were entirely unfounded.
