Chainlink introduces a new app called Transporter, simplifying the transfer of cryptocurrencies and information between various blockchain networks.
The app promises to facilitate affordable, high-value token transfers between blockchains, ensuring a safe and reliable transaction process for users.
Using Chainlink’s CCIP through the Transporter simplifies the process of leveraging its security advantages for moving significant token amounts and important messages between blockchain networks.

Transporter is capable of working with various blockchains such as Arbitrum, Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Optimistic Ethereum, Polygon, and WEMIX. This expansion signifies Chainlink’s debut in the rapidly growing sector of blockchain interoperability solutions.
Based on DefiLlama’s statistics, around $12 billion worth of assets were moved between different blockchains using existing bridges as of last month. However, these bridges have shown weaknesses to exploits and hacks, highlighting the importance of robust alternatives like Transporter in ensuring security within the digital asset marketplace.

The Transporter project has been built utilizing Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) – a key technology behind Chainlink’s partnership with SWIFT for facilitating global bank transfers.
The blog states that this app offers global assistance and is equipped with a real-time visual monitor to keep tabs on the progress of transfers among various blockchains. Users will be billed regular CCIP fees, which cover transaction expenses on the chosen blockchain as well as costs for CCIP intermediaries.
In simple terms, “Transporter is likely to become the go-to solution for enabling high-value transactions across different blockchains.”
