Worldcoin Hits 10 Million Users, Free Tokens Used for Goats in Kenya

since its launch in June 2023, the cryptocurrency project Worldcoin, which aims to implement a universal basic income (UBI) program through its platform, has experienced explosive growth. The project currently boasts over 10 million registered users on its World App and an average of 2 million new sign-ups every day. This impressive rate of growth enables the team to consistently meet their target of acquiring a set number of monthly users within a given timeframe.

The World App allows users to submit their biological information through iris scans obtained from office devices referred to as “orbs” during in-person visits. Remco Bloemen, the blockchain chief at the Worldcoin Foundation, stresses that the World App is just one option; they encourage other developers to create distinct wallets with various features to cater to diverse customer requirements.

A touching story from Kenya emerged recently. A Worldcoin user shared his happiness about buying a goat with the free tokens he received during the Worldcoin airdrop.

Members of the cryptocurrency world rushed towards this person, donating an unspecified quantity of digital currency. It’s believed they then utilized this funds to buy more goats, increasing their herd size to “13 and more” goats.

Sam, the initial goat from the Worldcoin initiative, now represents the potential influence of the project on people’s livelihoods.
