Nadee Anjarwlla, a high-ranking official at Binance, was located in Kenya after escaping Nigerian detention. He could be extradited back to Nigeria relatively soon to answer for his actions.
Last week, according to the Daily Post in Nigeria, Nigerian authorities have found Anjarwalla in Kenya and are working together with Kenyan officials to bring back the executive. (Or: The Daily Post of Nigeria reported last week that Nigerian authorities have discovered Anjarwalla in Kenya and are teaming up with their Kenyan counterparts to arrange for his return.)
On Monday, The Punch, a Nigerian news outlet, shared information from undisclosed government officials, indicating that Anjarwalla could be transported back to Nigeria by the end of the week with the assistance of INTERPOL.
A British-Kenyan national named Anjarwalla and Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan were taken into custody due to allegations involving currency manipulation and money laundering. It is said that Anjarwalla managed to leave Kenya in March by utilizing a hidden Kenyan passport.
Gambaryan is still in Nigeria and has pleaded not guilty to money laundering charges.
