GoPlus partners with Neo for node-level security on Neo X Sidechain

As a seasoned researcher with years of experience delving into the intricacies of blockchain technology, I find this partnership between GoPlus and Neo X truly groundbreaking. Having witnessed numerous security breaches and scams in the crypto world, it’s heartening to see a platform like GoPlus stepping up to provide enhanced node-level security.

GoPlus, a security platform for the Web3 ecosystem, is teaming up with Neo X – an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible sidechain from Neo – to bolster the security at the node level.

In a press release sent to crypto.news, it was announced that NEO (NEO) has become the initial blockchain to incorporate GoPlus’ Security Module, offering fundamental security for users within its sidechain.

The integration sets up a protective barrier, or “on-chain firewall,” using the GoPlus User Security Module (USM). This system automatically filters transactions according to each user’s personalized security settings.

In essence, the freshly introduced system screens transactions for potential dangers and prevents harmful ones, thereby safeguarding users’ resources. This real-time prevention of questionable transactions serves to enhance and fortify user interactions as well as strengthen asset security.

USM detailsĀ

In simple terms, the USM functions as a connection point between user activities and GoPlus’s SecWare services. Whenever a transaction takes place, it is instantly evaluated by GoPlus’s AI-driven security system. This system determines if the action should be allowed or halted based on its evaluation of its safety level.

Reimagined as a versatile security system, GoPlus’ Universal Security Module (USM) is adaptable to work with any blockchain platform, enhancing user safety and defending against numerous risks. Through their collaboration with Neo X, GoPlus provides an all-encompassing security solution that ensures node-level protection, while preserving Neo X’s characteristic permissionless and decentralized qualities.

In a notable announcement, John Wang, the Head of Eco-Growth at Neo, emphasized the importance of this partnership. He explained that when combined with Neo’s forthcoming anti-MEV (Miner Extractable Value) feature, it promises “exceptional levels of security and fairness,” which have not been seen before in similar contexts.
