As a researcher with a keen interest in blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and esports, I find this collaboration between Theta Network and FlyQuest absolutely intriguing! With my background in AI and its potential applications, I can see the significant impact that a.PHiD could have on fan engagement within the esports community.
In a strategic partnership, Theta Network, a distributed platform for artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology, collaborates with FlyQuest to debut an AI-powered esports chatbot tailored specifically for them.
In simpler terms, the renowned esports company FlyQuest, well-known for its top-tier League of Legends team in North America, will utilize Theta EdgeCloud to run their AI chatbot named a.PHiD, as stated by Theta Network (THETA).
On the FlyQuest site and through Discord integration, you can find our helpful bot ready to respond to your queries. It’s equipped to provide information about team rosters, future games, and past results for fans.
In relation to the launch of a.PHiD, FlyQuest CEO Brian Anderson stated that this move is expected to significantly enhance the esports team’s interaction with fans, providing opportunities for both individual connections and larger scale involvement, thereby elevating overall fan engagement.
The collaboration with FlyQuest is initiated following the disclosure by Theta Labs about an upgrade to their EdgeCloud, a versatile computing platform designed for artificial intelligence, video, and rendering applications. EdgeCloud utilizes powerful cloud-based graphics processing units, such as Nvidia’s cutting-edge GPUs, and has already teamed up with Google Cloud along with other leading industry players.
In a recent announcement, Theta Network revealed that the platform now caters to Artificial Intelligence (AI) compatible mobile browsers and video dashboards. Additionally, EdgeCloud has been fine-tuned for both iOS and Android systems, enabling developers to leverage features like model training, intelligent AI, analytics, and payment options.
Back in May 2024, Theta Labs introduced their innovative technology called EdgeCloud. In recent times, it’s witnessed a remarkable increase in usage.
A portion of the progress made by Theta has stemmed from both academic and business sectors. Notably, Theta has secured partnerships with prominent educational establishments like Seoul National University, University of Oregon, and most recently, Ajou University. These universities are utilizing Theta’s hybrid cloud GPU infrastructure to conduct AI-focused research.
Theta EdgeCloud supports Theta Fuel (TFUEL), fiat and USDC payments.
