So, CZ, the Binance bigwig, posts a pic of his dog, and what happens? Crypto bros lose their collective minds, obviously. They crank out a gazillion memecoins named “Broccoli” faster than you can say “pump and dump.” One of these green monstrosities skyrocketed to a $400 million market cap in, like, an hour. Because why not? 🚀
According to DEXScreener (the crypto world’s version of TMZ), Broccoli memecoin is currently trading at $0.1768, which is still way more than it’s probably worth. It hit a high of $0.42 in its first hour, because apparently, people have no self-control. The market cap is now $176 million, which is enough to buy, I don’t know, an actual broccoli farm? 🥦💰
In a classic “I’m not mad, just disappointed” move, CZ took to X (formerly Twitter, RIP) to clarify that he’s not endorsing any of this nonsense. His post was promptly deleted, probably because he realized no one listens to him anyway. 🤷♂️
Earlier, CZ admitted he knew this would happen. Like, duh. Post a pic of your dog, and the internet turns it into a get-rich-quick scheme. He even said he doesn’t stand for these quick profits, which is rich coming from the guy who built Binance. 🏦
Now, there are multiple Broccoli-themed coins floating around on decentralized exchanges, most of them on Binance’s own BNB chain. Because of course they are. It’s like a digital farmer’s market, but instead of veggies, it’s pure chaos. 🥦🔥
