So, as BTC breezed past $93,000 (cue the celebratory confetti), a wallet created on September 14, 2012—yup, almost 13 years ago—decided to move its 242 BTC for the very first time at block height 893,589. Now, the stash is worth around $22.6 million. Talk about hitting snooze and waking up to a dream! 🛏️💰

When the owner originally snagged those coins, they were worth a whopping $253.40. Flash forward to today and that translates to a mind-blowing 8,923,480% increase. That’s not a typo, by the way. Yes, you read that right. Someone’s about to retire on that change. Yesterday, eight more wallets from February and March of 2013 finally woke up, each moving 25 BTC, totaling 200 BTC worth a cool $18.7 million. Better late than never! ⏳💸

Data from btcparser.com shows that these coins popped out of old-school P2PKH addresses and moved to shiny new Bech32 P2WPKH wallets. It’s like the bitcoins had a little makeover after their beauty nap. And don’t even get me started on April 21, when four wallets from June 2017 suddenly remembered their password and sent a combined 126.96 BTC across four transactions. I’m not saying they’ve been on a beach somewhere, but it’s starting to feel that way. 🏖️

Then on Tuesday, April 22, just before the 2013 wallets started stretching, a 2016 wallet sent 83 BTC at block height 893,448. In the same block, another wallet from October 2016 decided it was time to let go of another 70 BTC. The thing is, these types of awakenings aren’t exactly rare during price rallies.
