Coinglass, with the gravity of an Edwardian butler, reports Ethereum took in $248 million in spot inflows in the previous 24 hours—over triple Solana’s $94 million, which is still enough to buy everyone at the bar a round, should the mood strike. On the daily chart—portrayed in glorious technicolour by Trading View—SOL is currently flirting with the upper Bollinger Band at $169.90, which is technical analysis code for “someone is about to make an entrance or a scene, possibly both.” If Solana shimmies past $170 and manages to keep its hat on, the next resistance is at $180, where the party truly begins.

Should Solana’s courage falter at the band (one can almost hear Lady Bollinger’s disappointment), it might slink back to the middle band, $162.11, or, if really down on its luck, the lower band, all the way at $135.62—a place one does not want to mention in polite, bullish society.

RSI (that’s “Really Suggestive Indicator” if you’re new) is at 71.67, heavily implying not only bullish momentum but that all parties involved might soon require a stiff drink or a correction. 🥂

The MACD, meanwhile, is also on the side of excess, showing a positive crossover. SOL surging past $170 could, with a little chutzpah, take a trip to $180, presumably with a trail of fainting short-sellers behind it.

Now, for those who like their speculation with a touch of social media drama, crypto analyst Ali Martinez declared on X (the artist formerly known as Twitter) that SOL’s weekly chart is showing a bullish cup and handle—a formation reminiscent of the sort of vintage crockery one finds only in finer estates. Should $200 fall, he hints, Solana could break out on the kind of bull run that has degenerate gamblers and respectable aunts alike checking their wallets.
