Animoca Brands Japan backs blockchain gaming platform Oasys

As a seasoned analyst with a penchant for blockchain and gaming, I find this partnership between Oasys and Animoca Brands Japan to be a strategic move that could significantly propel both parties forward in the competitive landscape of web3 gaming. With my years of experience tracking the evolution of the industry, I’ve seen how key collaborations can lead to exponential growth for companies.

As a crypto enthusiast, I’m thrilled to be part of the growing community surrounding Oasys, a blockchain platform tailored for gaming with notable collaborations like Ubisoft and Yield Guild Games. Now, I’m even more excited as we’ve just announced another significant partnership – this time with Animoca Brands Japan.

On December 17th, the blockchain platform designed for gaming revealed that Animoca Brands’ Japanese branch has invested directly in Oasys. Moreover, Animoca Brands will also become a new validator within this partnership. As part of their collaboration, Oasys intends to utilize Animoca Brands’ influence to increase its footprint in the Greater China region.

In this collaboration, our goal is to offer game creators and gamers globally cutting-edge experiences that will drive advancements within the worldwide blockchain gaming sector, as expressed by Ryo Matsubara, Oasys’s Representative Director.

Animoca Brands, a prominent Hong Kong company specializing in web3 technologies, utilizes blockchain to grant consumers digital property ownership. Their expanding collection, which encompasses over 540 projects, includes heavyweights like Yuga Labs (creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club), Polygon, Axie Infinity, and OpenSea.

Through the establishment of this partnership with Animoca Brands Japan, Oasys becomes part of an elite collection of top-tier platforms and projects that leverage Animoca’s function as a conduit for web3 gaming integration. This collaboration is expected to facilitate expanded growth prospects for Oasys, not only in Japan but also on a global scale.

In October 2022, the Oasys mainnet officially launched and has since experienced increased adoption over the past few years. Notably, it received investment from SBI Holdings, a significant player in Japan’s financial industry established in 1999. This partnership with a traditional finance titan is just one example of its success within the sector.

More recently, Oasys has secured a partnership with Ubisoft, the renowned video game developer known for titles like Assassin’s Creed, Brawlhalla, and Far Cry. Ubisoft is now stepping into the world of web3 gaming by planning to launch a new game on Oasys.
