Bitcoin Ord.io secured a pre-seed investment worth $2 million from Bitcoin Frontier Fund and Sora Ventures. Notable investors, including Longhash Ventures, Daxos Capital, and Portal Ventures, also participated in this funding round.
The investment intends to help Ord.io go beyond its present projects, incorporating fresh features that align with the upcoming Runes token. Industry experts believe the launch of Runes will bring substantial changes to Bitcoin’s network, similar to the effects observed with Ordinals and the BRC-20 protocol. Mrs. Leonadis, a co-founder, emphasized the importance of Ord.io preparing for the upcoming opportunities in order to connect with millions and boost Bitcoin’s recognition.
