This system allows decentralized applications (DApps) to move computation off-chain, while preserving their trustless and verifiable qualities at an affordable price.
Brevis’ system also assures affordability by implementing zero-knowledge proofs for its computations, making them verifiable. This allows on-chain smart contracts to validate these proofs, enabling Decentralized Applications (DApps) to perform off-chain computations without sacrificing their security or trustworthiness.
Creators of the protocol introduced a device called a zero-knowledge coprocessor, which enables smart contracts to retrieve and execute various computations on past blockchain data such as transactions, events, and states. Their software development kit facilitates the swift deployment of data-centric and computationally demanding DApps, even for those who don’t need a deep understanding of zero-knowledge cryptography.
