Crypto Influencer Richard Heart Investigated for Tax Evasion

As a seasoned analyst with extensive experience in the cryptocurrency space, I find myself both intrigued and dismayed by the ongoing saga of Richard Schueler, also known as Richard Heart. His recent troubles with Finnish authorities for alleged tax evasion and assault are certainly not what one would expect from someone who has built a reputation in this dynamic industry.

Richard Schueler, or more commonly known as Richard Heart, a well-known name in the world of cryptocurrencies, is currently being investigated by Finnish officials on charges of severe tax evasion and physical assault.

According to reports, the creator of Hex and PulseChain, identified as Schueler, allegedly neglected to pay taxes worth hundreds of millions of euros from June 2, 2020, to April 2, 2024. Authorities in Helsinki, collaborating with international partners, have issued an arrest warrant for Schueler, who remains at large as of now.

The Finnish investigation on Schueler started following the Tax Department’s discovery of inconsistencies between his reported income and their calculations, revealing substantial unreported income. While Schueler’s earnings in 2023 were officially over €15.2 million, the tax evasion allegations are not directly tied to capital gains.

Beyond the tax investigation, Schueler is under scrutiny regarding a suspected assault incident that occurred from February 16th to February 17th, 2021. However, his present location remains untraceable, as he resides in Helsinki.

The situation is being addressed simultaneously with American officials since Schueler is also under investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In the summer of 2023, Reuters announced that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accused an individual of amassing over $1 billion through unregistered cryptocurrency deals and misleading investors out of $12.1 million, which they claim was used on extravagances such as the world’s largest black diamond. The SEC asserted that this person had promoted these investments as a means to wealth.

The Finnish police, headed by Detective Saaristola, have sparked speculation about the initial release and promotion of the Hex and PulseChain digital currencies. This suspicion arose following a request for an investigation made by the Finnish Tax Administration. Saaristola mentioned that the ongoing criminal inquiry is currently in its preliminary phase, requiring collaboration with international law enforcement agencies.

The inquiries are currently at their initial phases, requiring intricate global cooperation to tackle the financial and criminal accusations.
