Over the last day, a significant drop occurred in the cryptocurrency market, leading to approximately 583,810 traders having their positions liquidated, totaling around $1.76 billion. The primary impact was on long positions, which accounted for about $1.58 billion, while short positions made up roughly $184.51 million. Bitcoin‘s price fell to around $95,000 during this period.
In just a day, a total of $189.19 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) positions were liquidated, with around $147.95 million being from long-term investments, while approximately $41.23 million came from short-term speculations.
In just the last hour, a total value of $3.96 million in Bitcoin positions was forcibly closed, with long positions accounting for approximately $3.21 million and short positions amounting to about $755,420.
Globally, the value of cryptocurrency liquidations showed a downward trend, resulting in substantial losses. Over an hour, these liquidation totals amounted to approximately $10.63 million. This sum was comprised of around $2.78 million from long positions and $7.85 million from short positions.
The value stood at approximately $144.69 million during the four-hour closing period, with long positions totaling around $120.80 million and short positions accounting for roughly $23.89 million.
On Binance, the largest single liquidation took place on the ETH/USDT pair, amounting to approximately 19.69 million dollars. It’s worth noting that other cryptocurrencies also played a significant role in the impressive total liquidations over the past 24 hours, collectively losing about 563.25 million dollars. Out of this total loss, around 537.43 million dollars was from long positions, while 25.81 million dollars was from short positions.
