Crypto Scammers Get What’s Coming to ‘Em 🚔

So, you know those guys who call you out of the blue, claiming they’ve got a “once-in-a-lifetime” crypto investment opportunity? Yeah, those guys are the worst. And, thankfully, two of them are now going to be spending some quality time in the slammer. 🚫

Raymondip Bedi and Patrick Mavanga, a couple of charmers from the UK, were just sentenced to a combined 12 years in prison for running a £1.5 million crypto cold-calling scam. I mean, who needs friends when you’ve got a phone and a list of suckers to call, right? 📞

Raymondip Bedi and Patrick Mavanga have been sentenced to a combined total of 12 years for cold-calling victims to sell fake crypto investments, defrauding at least 65 investors.

According to the FCA, these two geniuses ran their scam from 2017 to 2019, convincing at least 65 people to hand over a total of £1,541,799. That’s a lot of money, folks. I mean, you could buy a nice house, a car, and still have enough left over to invest in some actual crypto (just kidding, don’t do that). 🏠

But here’s the thing: the FCA is on the case, and they’re not messing around. They’re going after these scammers, and they’re urging anyone who’s been victimized to come forward. So, if you’ve been scammed, don’t be afraid to speak up. Unless, of course, you’re one of the scammers. In that case, you should probably just keep quiet and enjoy your time in prison. 🤐

And let this be a lesson to all you would-be scammers out there: the FCA is watching, and they will catch you. So, maybe just stick to a real job, like working at a coffee shop or something. ☕️

Oh, and one more thing: if someone calls you out of the blue and tries to sell you on a “guaranteed” crypto investment opportunity, just hang up. Trust me, it’s not worth it. 📴
