As an analyst with over two decades of experience in the tech and gaming industries, I find myself intrigued by the Hamster Kombat token (HMSTR). The impressive trading activity and vast community of 11 million tokenholders are undeniably impressive, reminding me of the fervor that once surrounded the Tamagotchi phenomenon back in the ’90s.
In spite of a decrease in user participation within its Web3 game on Telegram, the Hamster Kombat token (HMSTR) is still witnessing high levels of trading action.
According to the Hamster Kombat team on November 14th, they reported a staggering $1.3 billion in daily spot trading volume and a whopping $4 billion in ongoing perpetual trading volume for HMSTR.
Currently, Hamster Kombat boasts an impressive 11 million tokenholders within its community. In a lighthearted manner, the team likened this figure to “more than 239 Yankee Stadiums filled with hamsters,” underscoring the strong conviction among token holders regarding the token’s worth.
As an analyst, I’ve been closely monitoring our user engagement metrics, and the trends are concerning. From a peak of 300 million monthly active users in August, we’ve seen a steep drop to 41 million by early November. This translates to an alarming decrease of approximately 86%, or losing a staggering 259 million users over just three months.
According to the on-chain analysis provider IntoTheBlock, there has been a significant drop in the number of active addresses on the network. The figure peaked at over 700,000 in late September, but by November 13th, it had dropped down to nearly 20,000.
The token’s value follows this pattern, dropping from its peak of $0.01 on September 26 to $0.0022 on November 4. Although there has been a drop in the number of users, the overall feeling within the community continues to be mostly positive. Data from CoinMarketCap shows that about 73% of the 87,689 respondents are optimistic towards Hamster Kombat, while only 27% express pessimism.
During the Binance Blockchain Week held in Dubai, Notcoin’s co-founder, Sasha Plotvinov, emphasized the significance of fostering emotional connections to keep users engaged with Web3 video games.
During the “Telegram Mini Apps and Games” discussion, Plotvinov underscored the importance of incorporating social and emotional aspects to keep users engaged, highlighting that every gaming encounter should offer a sense of novelty to prolong interaction.
