Huddle01 to Launch Node Sale to Expand its Video Network, after hosting 6 million minutes of meetings

As a seasoned communications professional with over two decades of experience under my belt, I find the Huddle01 Media Node Sale particularly intriguing. With my finger on the pulse of the tech world, I’ve seen countless projects come and go, but few have demonstrated the potential that Huddle01 has shown.

The Huddle01 Decentralized Real-Time Communication Network functions as a platform that connects multiple parties. It features Media Nodes, which serve as providers of data bandwidth for users participating in audio/video conferences, while also catering to the needs of individuals who consume such meetings.

On November 6, 2024, Huddle01 – a top-tier platform for real-time, decentralized communication – will kick off its media node sale. Huddle01 is trailblazing the way in decentralized communication, providing a strong and streamlined response to the hurdles faced by conventional real-time communication (RTC) systems. Since 2023, Huddle01 has supported over 6 million minutes of conversation across more than 100,000 events.

The first dRTC Network

Huddle01 is the initial Decentralized Network for Real-Time Communication (DePIN), specifically designed for video and voice calls. By harnessing unused internet bandwidth through operator nodes, Huddle01 facilitates smooth audio-video communication using its advanced decentralized network, also known as dRTC.

Unlike many other Decentralized Peer-to-Peer Interactive Networks (DePINs), Huddle01 was constructed with a focus on the user’s needs, specifically addressing the high operational costs and latency issues prevalent in centralized Real-Time Communication (RTC) networks. Established during the Covid-19 pandemic as Indian schools transitioned to online learning, Huddle01 supplanted traditional communication systems that routed calls through distant servers, frequently located halfway around the globe. This practice resulted in substantial delays and subpar performance for video conferencing due to the distance the signals had to travel.

With a focus on decreasing dependence on traditional centralized data centers, Huddle01 significantly cuts down the expenses associated with audio and video calls for developers, saving up to 95% of their server costs compared to Amazon Web Services (AWS). This translates into budget-friendly and high-performance communication solutions.

Huddle01’s app, Huddle01 Meet, combines Web3 technologies, enabling users to link their digital wallets, select NFT artworks as personal avatars, and organize meetings with token-restricted access. The system ensures safe storage of video recordings via the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), demonstrating its dedication to decentralization and security.

As a crypto investor, I’m excited to be part of the community led by Ayush Ranjan, CEO and Co-Founder, and Susmit Lavania, Co-Founder and CTO, at Huddle01. The team behind this project boasts over 15 years of experience in Real-Time Communication (RTC) and a solid 5 years in token engineering. Notably, key leadership roles within Huddle01 are occupied by graduates from prominent organizations such as BlockScience, ConsenSys, Polygon, Cardano, Persistence, CoinDCX, and Guardian Link. This pedigree gives me confidence that the future of Huddle01 is bright.

Nodes lead to improved latency

In the global communication system designed by Huddle01, known as dRTC network, the fundamental building blocks, or Media Nodes, are responsible for ensuring sufficient bandwidth to process, transmit, and direct audio and video data packets seamlessly, maintaining uninterrupted communication.

According to CTO Susmit Lavania, if Huddle01 manages to secure even a small fraction of Google Meets and Zoom’s current market share within the next year – about 1-5% – it would mark an unprecedented adoption rate for web3 technology.

In reality, latency problems, which manifest as delays, lags, and glitches, not only hamper innovation in developing regions but also impede productivity worldwide. Enhanced internet services have the potential to significantly improve distance learning, streaming content, gaming experiences, and healthcare delivery in all parts of the globe.

According to Ayush Ranjan, CEO of Huddle01, these nodes will fuel a network that currently surpasses established web2 rivals in terms of latency when there’s a substantial number of nodes. Moreover, it has the potential to reduce lags worldwide.

Ranjan announced his enthusiasm for our upcoming node sale. As we successfully sell more nodes, both consumers and businesses stand to gain even greater advantages. Operators running nodes are motivated to do so since it not only increases their own value but also allows them to experience reduced latency across all their applications.
