London, UK, April 17th, 2024, Chainwire
In an innovative first for the industry, MetaWin and law firm BCLP have teamed up to convert a Tesla Cybertruck into a digital asset. By tokenizing the vehicle and securing it with a legally binding contract, they’ve created a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) that symbolizes complete ownership of The Cybertruck. This NFT was introduced on Ethereum‘s Layer 2 blockchain, managed by leading cryptocurrency platform Coinbase.
In simple terms, this contest represents an important achievement as the first-ever tokenized vehicle asset in the world, allowing entrants a chance to potentially win a Cybertruck through a fair and open transaction on the blockchain. Participation is free and can be done using a Web3 wallet, with lower gas fees on the Base Layer 2 blockchain compared to Ethereum’s primary network.
Rebecca Hanwell, the Operations Manager at MetaWin, pointed out, “Using Ethereum’s Base Layer 2 blockchain technology, we can significantly reduce transaction fees and ensure full transparency. This means that every stage of our contest, from sign-ups to reward distribution, is handled swiftly and securely.”
On our website, users have the option to increase their entry count by buying MetaWin NFTs. With each purchase, you receive additional free entries that are recorded on the blockchain immediately. Once the competition ends, the winning user can decide whether they want the Cybertruck delivered straight to them or opt for a cash prize worth $125,000 in USDC/T instead, if delivering the truck isn’t practical.
During the contest, buying MetaWin NFTs straight from the platform increases your chances of winning. With every purchase, you’ll automatically receive bonus entries, which are registered on the blockchain at the moment of transaction. Once the competition ends, the victor has the flexibility to select either having a Cybertruck delivered or receiving an alternative reward worth $125,000 in USDC/T, if delivering the Cybertruck isn’t possible.
The distinctively designed Tesla Cybertruck, boosted by high-profile endorsements, makes for a remarkable reward. It is currently managed by MetaWin, and the vehicle’s VIN number is recorded in the NFT agreement.
Rebecca Hanwell added, “The Cybertruck isn’t just an extraordinary vehicle for us, it symbolizes the groundbreaking technology that fuels our goals at MetaWin. By conducting this competition on the blockchain, we ensure each stage is as transformative as the reward itself.”
The competition is now open for entries, with the drawing scheduled for June 1, 2024. The winner will receive their prize promptly upon the contest’s conclusion, showcasing the efficiency and potential of blockchain technology in modernising traditional asset ownership.
