This new funding has increased the company’s valuation to over $1 billion. This significant achievement comes just months after their previous investment round in January, showcasing impressive growth and investor trust.

Investment Details

Daniel Gross, who previously led the AI team at Y Combinator, took the lead in securing funding for the company. This strong endorsement from a prominent figure in tech is an encouraging sign. New investors also joined the round, including Stanley Druckenmiller, Garry Tan (CEO of Y Combinator), and Dylan Field (CEO of Figma).

Established collaborators such as Nvidia Corporation, Elad Gil, Nat Friedman, and the founder of Amazon.com, Jeff Bezos, made additional investments. This investment signifies their continued commitment to Perplexity. With this new financing round, Perplexity has now raised a total of $165 million in capital.

Additionally, it’s been indicated that Perplexity is close to obtaining a significant new financing opportunity, potentially increasing their valuation from $2.5 billion to $3 billion.
