As a seasoned crypto investor with over a decade of experience navigating the volatile digital asset market, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and relief upon hearing Robinhood’s latest announcement. The integration of Solana into their Wallet service marks another significant step forward for both Robinhood and the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Robinhood has now included Solana in its Wallet service, thereby enhancing the variety of cryptocurrencies available on its platform.
Johann Kerbrat, the General Manager of Robinhood Crypto, announced this integration, which will enable users to self-custody Solana (SOL) and conduct transactions over the Solana blockchain.

This action is consistent with Robinhood’s larger plan to strengthen its Web3 wallet by adding additional blockchains and digital currencies, such as those they’ve already integrated, including Ethereum (ETH), Polygon (MATIC), and Bitcoin (BTC).
Robinhood and crypto
At the start of the current year, Robinhood showed an increasing curiosity towards the cryptocurrency sector. Specifically, they made a purchase of the cryptocurrency exchange known as Bitstamp.
As a researcher, I’m excited to share that Robinhood is leveraging its recently obtained Bitstamp licensing to extend its services by offering cryptocurrency futures trading in both the United States and Europe. While specific details regarding the U.S. launch of Bitcoin and Ethereum futures trading are still under discussion, it’s an exciting development as we look forward to bringing this new investment opportunity to our users.
After purchasing Pluto Capital in July, this action was taken by Robinhood, enhancing their cryptocurrency services and drawing in more retail crypto investors.
By incorporating Solana into Robinhood Wallet, users can now handle their SOL assets with greater efficiency. This includes options for safe sending, receiving, and storing of SOL tokens.
