Tesla and SpaceX Bitcoin Holdings Hit $2B Amid BTC Surge

As a researcher with years of experience in the dynamic world of cryptocurrencies and tech giants, I find it fascinating to witness the meteoric rise of Elon Musk’s companies’ Bitcoin holdings. With Tesla and SpaceX collectively holding over $2 billion worth of Bitcoin, it’s a testament to their foresight and risk-taking abilities.

The cumulative worth of Bitcoin held by Elon Musk’s two primary businesses has surpassed the $2 billion mark, with Bitcoin’s price nearing the significant level of around $100,000.

According to information from Arkham Intelligence, Tesla owns roughly 11,509 Bitcoins with a value of about $1.17 billion US dollars, and SpaceX has around 8,285 Bitcoins that are equivalent to around $842 million US dollars in worth.

These bitcoins were acquired at an average cost of around $34,980 per unit. With the increase in bitcoin’s price to approximately $100, the value of this investment has soared, resulting in a profit of roughly $1.3 billion – representing an impressive 186% return on the initial investment.

Back in 2021, Tesla revealed that it had initially invested a substantial sum of $1.5 billion in Bitcoin. For a short while, the firm enabled Bitcoin as a method of payment for its automobiles, but later ceased this option because of ecological worries.

As an analyst, I’ve noticed that Tesla has recently moved its Bitcoin holdings valued at approximately $760 million from their public wallet, executing a series of swift transactions. Despite this transfer, it appears that Tesla still retains an estimated $780 million in Bitcoin.
