TON and Cocos Studio team up to Transform Web3 Gaming

As a seasoned crypto investor with a keen eye for promising partnerships and innovative technologies, I find the collaboration between TON Foundation and Cocos Studio incredibly intriguing. Having witnessed the evolution of blockchain gaming from its infancy to its current state, I can confidently say that this alliance has the potential to revolutionize the Web3 mini-games landscape.

In simple terms, the TON Foundation has joined forces with Cocos Studio, aiming to revolutionize the world of mini-games on the Web3 platform. This collaboration combines Cocos Studio’s cutting-edge game development technology with TON’s extensive blockchain network, marking a fresh chapter in digital entertainment.

Starting today, Cocos SDK will integrate seamlessly with the TON Blockchain, allowing Web2 mini-app developers to harness the power of dApps. This move comes as TON’s ecosystem experiences meteoric growth, with its Total Value Locked (TVL) surpassing $750 million by the end of July 2024.

The increasing popularity of mini-applications such as Notcoin (with more than 30 million users) and Hamster Kombat (boasting 300 million users) underscores the expanding success of blockchain technology.

Through the collaboration, developers will gain the ability to build apps (decentralized applications or dApps) that have potential for monetization, utilizing Telegram’s massive network of 950 million monthly active users as a resource.

“Luna, CMO of Cocos Studio, stated that collaborating with TON represents a significant leap in the progress of Web3 game development. Sharing similar values and objectives with TON – such as supporting developers, achieving widespread adoption, and enhancing the industry – will establish new benchmarks and create numerous possibilities for developers worldwide.”

Inal Kardan, the Gaming Lead at TON Foundation, expressed great excitement about the partnership, saying, “The future of gaming lies on blockchain networks, aiming to generate value rather than merely exploiting it. Our alliance with Cocos Studio is expected to introduce approximately 40,000 Web2 mini-game creators to the Web3 realm, empowering them to tap into a vast and dedicated user base through Telegram’s Mini App platform.”
