According to reports, Tether is said to have created $10 million worth of its biggest stablecoin on the TON blockchain, indicating a possible expansion plan for the company.
Tether Holdings Limited’s USDT, the largest stablecoin globally, can now be used on the TON blockchain. According to Tether’s transparency report, $10 million worth of this digital currency has been issued on the network as of now. However, Tether has not yet made a public statement regarding this development.
USDT can now be found on 16 different networks following its recent update, including Solana, TRON, and Avalanche. This announcement caused a significant increase in Toncoin‘s value, pushing the price up by more than 17% to reach $7.15 based on CoinMarketCap’s data.
After Tether revealed its intention to restructure and broaden its scope beyond stablecoins on April 18, the company has taken this action. In the announcement, they outlined their plans to reorganize into four distinct divisions and introduced a fresh vision to explore new markets outside of stablecoins.
