Speaking at the Economic Club of New York on Thursday, ex-president Donald Trump expressed his ambition for the U.S. to emerge as the global leader in cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin.

As a dedicated researcher, I too have been pondering an innovative concept reminiscent of Elon Musk’s vision. This idea involves establishing a Government Efficiency Commission tasked with conducting a comprehensive audit of our federal spending. The aim is to identify and rectify issues related to fraud and inefficiencies in the allocation of funds within our nation, ensuring a more transparent and productive use of resources.

Trump asserts that annually, the U.S. taxpayer loses “tens of billions” through fraud and questionable payments.

Elon Musk has endorsed this initiative, expressing his support on X. Musk tweeted that the commission could “unlock tremendous prosperity for America,”

Trump announced that Elon Musk would lead the commission, humorously implying that with his many ongoing business ventures, even his crowded schedule might not deter him from accepting this new responsibility.

Moreover, Trump pledged to eliminate obsolete rules, declaring that his team would scrap at least ten existing ones for every fresh regulation they implemented.
