As a researcher with a background in blockchain technology and a deep interest in Ethereum’s development, I am thrilled to see Vitalik Buterin’s latest proposal, Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 7702. This groundbreaking idea has the potential to significantly enhance the user experience of Ethereum and expand its capabilities.
As a researcher studying blockchain technology, I’d like to share an intriguing proposal put forth by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. He suggested collaborating on enhancing account abstraction for standard on-chain addresses.
EIP 7702 proposes a novel transaction approach, enabling external accounts, commonly referred to as Ethereum (ETH) accounts, to perform functions of smart contracts directly.
Once a transaction is finalized, Externally Owned Accounts (EOAs) will return to their initial settings. Buterin collaborated with Ansgar Dietrich, Matt Garnett, and Sam Wilson on EIP-7702 to enhance compatibility between this Ethereum Improvement Proposal and the smart contract functionalities outlined in EIP-4337.
Hayden Adams, the founder of Uniswap, explains that EIP-7702 offers quantum resistance in place of EIP-3074, a proposal previously considered for implementation following Ethereum’s proposed Petra upgrade.
As a crypto investor, I’m excited to share that Vitalik Buterin has recently proposed Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 7702. This proposal is set to bring about one of the most significant transformations Ethereum has ever experienced. Here’s what you need to know:

Vitalik Buterin’s Ethereum account abstraction
In 2020 and 2021, Buterin and other developers introduced account abstraction as a solution to provide more complex functionalities such as wallet recovery and multi-factor authentication for standard Ethereum addresses.
Last year in March, account abstraction was implemented on the Ethereum mainnet. This development offers increased convenience for users aiming to exchange tokens and enhances their ability to execute more complex on-chain transactions.
Buterin often emphasizes that the concept of account abstraction will significantly impact the future of blockchain transactions. This idea will work in tandem with the fundamental “cypherpunk” philosophy and strengthen techniques such as zero-knowledge proofs.
