Sam Altman and his team at Worldcoin are preparing to debut their new Layer-2 blockchain, named World Chain, this summer. Developed by Tools for Humanity, the primary backer of Worldcoin, this innovative protocol is designed to improve transaction speed on the Ethereum network.
World Chain focuses on enhancing security and convenience by giving preference to authenticated users. By assigning them priority in block space and providing complimentary gas, it diminishes the power of automated programs, or bots.

Through this integration, there will be a smooth link-up with the current Worldcoin platform, which is committed to verifying human identities using iris scans, referred to as Orb verification. So far, more than five million people have signed up for this project.
Addressing Regulatory Challenges
In simple terms, the latest advancements address issues related to regulations and compliance in various regions. The new features, Personal Custody and Unverify World ID, demonstrate their focus on user privacy by employing zero-knowledge proofs, which safeguard personal data without undermining network security.
With this move, Worldcoin is advancing its plan to enhance user experience and expand capacity, keeping the digital identity platform competitive.
